Specialized treatment centers for ALS encourage and provide state-of-the-art care
and clinical management of ALS. Some institutions are also ALS research facilities.
ALS clinics offer a variety of health care services, from specialized teams to support
services that typically include:
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Respiratory therapy
- Nursing
- Registered dietician services
- Psychology or psychiatry
- Speech and language pathology
Most ALS centers offer a full range of these types of services, but some offer a
